Art student Amy sadly lost her Uncle Mark in 2015, who died while experiencing homelessness. . . For her final art degree show, she chose to commemorate her uncle's life through her art. The free sewing machine embroidered cushions represent a tapestry of Mark's life and the complexities of homelessness. We agree with Amy's family (who sent these pictures to us) that this is a remarkable piece of work, and we're pleased to be able to share it with you today. . . . #homelessness #art #expression #housing #mentalhealth #freesewing #sewingmachine #embroidery #shelter #charity #artstudent
The Big Issue will also be featuring Amy’s work at a later date.
