Book Launch: Baby 19 by Karenjit Sandhu

In 1989, Prof. Jerome Kagan began a major longitudinal study into babies and their responses to new stimuli. 500 infants took part. The first 18 reacted calmly; they were indifferent to anything new or unfamiliar. However, the 19th baby was highly reactive becoming distressed and upset in the presence of a new object or new context. Baby 19 was different.

You are invited to the launch of Karenjit Sandhu’s forthcoming publication Baby 19 by Intergraphia Books. This publication looks to capture the voice of Baby 19 and document the images from a paper-costume worn by Karenjit during live performances.

Karenjit will be performing this work at 4:30pm on Friday 27th October at the Small Publishers Fair, London. More info can be found here: http://smallpublishersfair.co.uk/readings-talks-and-launches/

The Small Publishers Fair will take place from 27-28th October at Conway Hall, London. Admission is free.
